The Civil Court yesterday ordered the seizure of assets worth more than 200 million baht from a family linked to the Bangkok Bank of Commerce (BBC) embezzlement scandal. The assets, valued at 207 million baht, belonged to Wu Xiao Hua, a former executive of Starluck Footwear Co (BVI), and his family. The assets also included land and property in Bangkok, Chon Buri, Krabi and Chiang Rai, as well as eight bank accounts. One case involved BBC loans worth more than 139 million baht to Starluck Footwear in 1995. Mr Wu later transferred the money to his wife, Saengduen Boonmathong.
